Dr. Felipe Porto, DDS, MS, MSD
Growing up in Brazil, Dr. Porto learned early lessons about adaptability, family values, and the importance of doing your best in everything – principles that continue to shape his approach to orthodontic care today. His journey to orthodontics began with his own braces experience in high school, sparking a fascination that would grow into a lifelong passion.
With extensive education spanning two continents, Dr. Porto brings exceptional expertise to every patient interaction. He holds dental and orthodontic degrees from Brazil and the United States, including specialized training in Orofacial Pain and TMD. As a board-certified specialist in both Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain, he’s dedicated to providing comprehensive care that goes beyond creating beautiful smiles.
Throughout his career, Dr. Porto has shared his knowledge as a professor at multiple universities, earning teaching awards for his work. He’s been invited to speak at over 100 events worldwide and has published numerous research papers in Orthodontics and Orofacial Pain treatment.
Today, Dr. Porto is proud to call America home, where he lives with his wife and two daughters. When not creating beautiful smiles, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, including their two adopted dogs. His father’s wisdom still guides his practice philosophy: strive for excellence while maintaining honesty and integrity in everything you do.

With a degree in Physical Education and specialized training in Chronic Degenerative Disease and Elderly Care, she understands that true wellness encompasses both physical health and positive experiences.
As Practice Coordinator, Juliana orchestrates every aspect of our office operations with precision and care. From maintaining our cutting-edge equipment to ensuring a welcoming environment, she works tirelessly behind the scenes to create an exceptional orthodontic experience for every patient. Amy Touzel, Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator
With 29 years of orthodontic experience, Amy brings both expertise and heart to our front office team. A natural caregiver, she’s dedicated to helping patients navigate their treatment journey with ease. When she’s not coordinating schedules and insurance matters, Amy indulges her lifelong love of learning through books – from mysteries to neuroscience – and creates beautiful quilts. Married to her perfect match Travis for 25 years, Amy’s commitment to building lasting relationships extends from her personal life to her patient care.
Mary VanGemert, Treatment Coordinator
Drawing from over three decades of orthodontic experience and a strong foundation from Ferris State’s Dental Assistant program, Mary has mastered nearly every aspect of orthodontic care. As our Treatment Coordinator, she finds joy in guiding new patients through the first steps of their smile transformation. Mary’s wealth of knowledge makes her the perfect person to answer your questions and ease any concerns. Outside the office, she cherishes time spent boating with her husband, crafting cozy creations through crochet, and making precious memories with her three grandchildren.
Anel Beltran, Orthodontic Assistant
Bringing seven years of dental expertise and boundless enthusiasm to our team, Anel joined Enjoy Orthodontics in 2024. Her passion for orthodontics shines through in every patient interaction, making each visit something to look forward to. When she’s not helping create beautiful smiles, Anel stays active in her church community, enjoys family movie nights, maintains an active lifestyle through running, and shares playful moments with her beloved dogs, Holly and Zel.
